Mayes Tips the Scales in Rhode Island!

Baltimore light heavyweight Henry "Hurricane" Mayes tipped the scales at 174 1/2 for his rematch against Joe McCreedy tonight at the Twin Rivers Event Center in Lincoln, RI. McCreedy weighed in at 171 1/2.

This card is an ESPN2 Friday Night Fights event, but no word yet on whether this bout will make TV. Mayes (7-5-1, four KO's) will try to make it two straight against McCreedy (7-2, five KO's) tonight. The telecast begins at 9 PM ET.

Mayes ain't no bum... He's got good skills and huge heart... he just can't handle pressure and doesn't take too good a punch...
