DC featherweight Ron "Teflon" Boyd will make his first west coast appearance when he takes on undefeated John Molina of Covina, CA tonight at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, CA.
Boyd (5-1, two KO's) has won five straight bouts, but has looked particularly impressive in his last three. However, Boyd hasn't fought since March 8 when he stopped Jorge Lara in the second round at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD.
Molina (7-0, five KO's) last fought on June 22 when he won a six-round unanimous decision over Marcus Brashers.
Boyd weighed in at 133 1/2 pounds while Molina came in at 133.

Boyd was stopped, but he did send his guy to the canvas himself one time during the fight.
Boyd is still the winner. He did what seven fighter that Molina was trying too do, but Boyd did it, he knock down Molina in the first round. Can you do what Boyd did. I don't think so.
He is till my number one winner.
