Hi Gary - I'm relatively new to the Maryland boxing scene and was curious what local venues host live fights? My friends and I would like to enjoy a fight night, but are having a tough time finding venues that host them. It seems like Ballroom Boxing in Glen Burnie, MD was a good option prior to shutting down. Have any supplanted it since?

Hi Scott! In Maryland, we have had bouts at the MGM National Harbour Casino and at Live! Casino in Hanover, MD. Also, there are amateur and pro cards at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD. DC has cards at the Armory, the Convention Center, and the Entertainment and Sports Arena. Northern Virginia has had cards in many smaller locations like Tyson's Playground in Vienna and the Alexandria Boxing Club Sports Complex which, actually, is in Springfield, VA. I'm not sure that they will use the Eagle Bank Arena at George Mason University anytime soon.

Hope that answers some of your questions. Take care.
