Largo, MD's Dominic "Lights Out" Wade showed no ring rust after his loss to Gennady Golovkin in April of 2016 as he demolished Martin Fidel Rios of Argentina in the first round Friday at the Main Street Armory in Rochester, NY.
According to Fightnews.com, Wade scored two crushing knockdowns, the second one coming from a left hand to the head that sent Rios to the canvas for the count. The time of the knockout was 1:48. Wade is now 19-1, 13 KO's while Rios falls to 23-19-4, 13 KO's.
Also on the card, Severn, MD heavyweight Sherman "The Tank" Artis lost by first-round knockout to Roney "Too Much" Hines of Cleveland, OH. Hines knocked Artis down three times with body shots forcing Artis to take a knee each time. The bout was stopped via the three-knockdown rule at 1:46 of the first. Artis drops to 3-4 while Hines is now 4-0 with four first-round knockouts.
