Lamont Roach, Jr. Defends WBC Youth Silver Super Featherweight Title June 30th In Indio, CA!

Undefeated Upper Marlboro, MD super featherweight Lamont Roach, Jr. will make the first defense of his WBC Youth Super Featherweight championship on Friday, June 30th against Jesus A. "Chuito" Valdez of Huatabampo, Sonora, Mexico at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, CA.  The bout will be shown on ESPN2 and it is scheduled for 10 rounds.

Roach (13-0, five KO's) returns to the location where he won his title in his last contest, scoring a crushing first-round knockout over Alejandro Valdez on January 28th.  Valdez (20-2-1, nine KO's) makes his first trip to the continental United States.  Valdez has won his last four bouts in his native Mexico but all four of those wins were against under-.500 competition.
