Congratulations to Baltimore, MD's Candice Carter who won the 112 Pound Youth Female championship on the second day of competition Wednesday at the 2017 Junior Olympic, Prep National and Youth Open championships at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WVA.
Carter defeated Bernadette Malendrez of Merced, CA by a 5-0 score to capture the title. Carter's victory was part of a busy day for Beltway amateurs. Here are results from Wednesday's competition:
