It took more than one try but Gervonta Davis hit the 130-pound weight limit for his IBF Super Featherweight championship title defense against Liam Walsh on Saturday at the Copperbox Arena in London, England.
On the first try, Davis missed by two ounces. By IBF rules, Davis had two hours to shed the extra weight and did that ninety minutes later. Walsh weighed in at 130 as well.
The bout begins the Showtime split-site telecast at 6 PM ET. Those of you attending the card at the MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD will be able to watch the bout on the screens.
