DeMarcus Corley weighed in at 139 pounds for his scheduled 10-round contest against Jovanie Santiago on Friday at the Coliseo Antonio Barceló in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. Santiago also came in at 139. The bout is for the vacant UBF International Super Lightweight title.
Corley (48-27-1, 28 KO's) has won four straight and six of his last seven -- the majority of the wins have come against rising prospects. Corley is coming off a 12-round majority decision win over Dexter Gonzales on August 27 in Lilliendaal, Guyana for the vacant WBC Fecarbox Lightweight title. Santiago (9-0-1, seven KO's) scored a second-round TKO over winless Ramon Matias Perez on May 12th in the Dominican Republic.
