IBF Super Featherweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis will make the first defense of his title against undefeated number one ranked contender Liam "Destiny" Walsh of Cromer, Norfolk, United Kingdom on Saturday, May 20th at the Copperbox Arena in London, England.
The 22-year-old Baltimore, MD native (17-0, 16 KO's) won his title on January 14th with a seventh-round TKO over Jose Pedraza in Brooklyn, NY. The 30-year-old Walsh (21-0, 14 KO's) will make the first attempt at a world title after winning a 12-round unanimous decision over Andrey Klimov on October 8th in Harrow, London, England. Walsh has won a European title in his career.
No word yet on whether the bout will be televised in the United States.
