Baltimore, MD light heavyweight Travis "Seveer" Reeves will travel to Eatons Hill, Queensland, Australia to challenge Australian Trent Broadhurst for the IBF International Light Heavyweight title on Saturday, March 18th.
Reeves (13-2-2, seven KO's) was one of our Beltway Prospects of the Year selections in 2016 as he won one state and one regional title. On May 14th in Timonium, MD, Reeves scored an eighth-round TKO over Larry Pryor to win the Maryland State Cruiserweight title then dropped down in weight to capture the USBO Light Heavyweight title with a second-round knockout of Aaron Quattrocchi on November 12th in Baltimore.
Broadhurst (20-1, 12 KO's) is no stranger to regional title bouts. After winning the WBA Oceania and the IBF Pan Pacific Light heavyweight titles, Broadhurst captured the IBF International title with a seventh-round technical decision win over Rob Powdrill in November of 2015 in Mansfield, Queensland, Australia. Broadhurst scored a third-round TKO over Nader Hamdan on February 3 in North Adelaide, Australia. The Reeves bout will be the first defense of his IBF International title.
