Nicholson, Aleem Battle To Eight-Round Draw In Quebec City!

Beltway Boxers Demond "D Best At It" Nicholson (left) of Laurel, MD and Immanuwel Aleem of Richmond, VA fought to an eight-round majority decision draw tonight at the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Canada.  This picture was taken after their contest this evening.

The bout was shown on a delayed basis on the Spike TV telecast.  Aleem seemed to be the quicker of the two boxers with his hands and feet while Nicholson seemed to land only one punch at a time.  There was a slight controversy in the seventh round when Aleem landed a punch that seemed to drop Nicholson.  However, referee Steve St-Germain ruled a slip.

Aleem got the decision on one judge's scorecard, 77-75 but the other two judges scored the bout even at 76-76.

Nicholson's record is now 17-1-1, 16 KO's while Aleem remains undefeated at 16-0-1, nine KO's.
