Undefeated Washington, DC welterweight David "Day-Day" Grayton will face his biggest challenge to date when he takes on fellow undefeated boxer Bryant "Goodfella" Perrella of Fort Myers, FL in a 10-round contest on Saturday, June 4 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The bout will be shown on ESPN and will be the first 10-rounder for both men.
Grayton (14-0, 10 KO's) is coming off a second-round stoppage of Daniel Souza Santos on January 31 in Immokalee, FL. Perrella (13-0, 12 KO's) last fought on January 12 and scored a second-round stoppage of Ramon Ayala in San Antonio, TX.
The two men have a common opponent -- both competed against Errol Spence in the amateurs. Grayton defeated Spence to win the 2010 National Golden Gloves title. Perrella lost to Spence at the 2012 Olympic Trials. Spence went on to represent the US in the Olympics that year.
