The About Billions Promotions/s Promotions/Headbangers Promotions card on Friday, April 1 at the DC Armory has added more bouts to the card.
DC lightweight Anthony Peterson will battle Samuel "Untouchable" Neequaye of DC by way of Accra, Ghana in a 10-round contest. Peterson (36-1, 24 KO's) is coming off an easy first-round stoppage of Mike Oliver on October 17 in Fairfax, VA. Peterson has won six straight since suffering his only loss against Brandon Rios in September of 2010. Personal injuries and cancellations of bouts have kept Peterson from a more active career. Neequaye (22-1, 15 KO's) bounced back from his only loss by winning a 10-round unanimous decision over Eugenio Lopez in March of 2015 in Mexico. Neequaye's only loss came in the ESPN Boxcino lightweight tournament to Fernando Carcamo by second-round knockout in February of 2014 in Laughlin,NV.
Middleweight Demond "D Best At It" Nicholson will be in an eight-round bout against Joshua Okine, who is also from Accra, Ghana but competes out of Silver Spring, MD. Nicholson (16-1, 16 KO's) scored a first-round TKO over Jose Valderrama on February 27 at the Washington Convention Center. Okine (28-5-1, 17 KO's) had a nine-bout winning streak snapped when he was knocked out by Marco Antonio Periban in the third round on October 17 in Veracruz, Mexico.
Undefeated Hyattsville, MD super lightweight Patrick Harris will battle the very busy Samuel "Bruno" Amoako, another Ghanaian transplant who now fights out of Silver Spring, MD. Harris last fought on the February 27th Convention Center card and scored a first-round TKO over Christopher Russell. Amoako (21-9, 15 KO's) just fought on March 18th and lost a six-round unanimous decision to Mike Reed in Philadelphia, PA. The bout with Harris will be the fifth bout for Amoako this year.
Rockville, MD super welterweight Shyngyskhan Tazhibay makes his first appearance of 2016 when he faces Riarus Dudley of Georgia in a four-rounder. Tazhibay (2-0, two KO's) scored two TKO's in his rookie campaign. Dudley (2-0-1, two KO's) scored a second-round TKO over the debuting Dakari Ayise on February 20th in Macon, GA.
