Capitol Heights, MD's Gary Antuanne Russell has won his opening bout at the Americas Olympic Qualifier tournament in Buenos Aires, Argentina today.
Russell won a 3-0 decision over Miguel Ferrin of Ecuador. Russell will return to action on Thursday when he takes on Luis Martin Arcon Diaz of Venezuela. A win on Thursday and Russell will punch his ticket to the Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
