DC's Stacey Selby won his bout in the Boys Intermediate Open, 12-13, 113-119 pound division defeating Javier Fernandez of San Antonio, TX.
Siete Shuler of Laurel, MD took his first round bout in the Boys Junior Open, 14-15, 148-156 pound division with a win over Trenton Bailey of Louisville, KY.
Baltimore, MD's Lorenzo Simpson started his quest for a sixth straight National Silver Gloves title with a win over Leone Peters of Kashena, WI in the Boys Junior Open, 14-15, 157-165 pound division.
Nasheed Smith of Washington, DC won his bout in the Boys Junior Open, 14-15, 140-147 pound class, defeating Da'Velle Smith of Inkster, MI.
