Salisbury, MD super middleweight Tahir Thomas battled to a six-round split decision draw against fellow undefeated boxer Antowyan Aikens of Atlantic City, NJ Friday night at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA. According to reporter JR Jowett, both men were knocked down in the bout -- Thomas in the first and Aikens in the sixth. One judge scored the bout 57-55 for Thomas and one judge had it 57-55 for Aikens. The third judge saw the draw, 56-56.
Thomas's record is now 4-0-1, three KO's while Aikens is 10-0-1, one KO.
On the same card, Capitol Heights, MD heavyweight Devon Mosley was knocked out in the first round by Hafiz Montgomery of Toms River, NJ. The time of the knockout was 2:34. Mosley remains winless at 0-4-1 while Montgomery is 2-0, one KO.
