Ferndale, MD cruiserweight "Slick" Nick Kisner has lost a 10-round unanimous decision to undefeated Lateef "Power" Kayode of Hollywood, CA at the WC Handy Pavilion in Memphis, TN. The bout was nationally televised on the CBS Sports Network.
Kisner started off well using good foot movement and hand speed. However as the bout wore on, Kayode shortened the distance and got off decent shots to Kisner's head and body. Kisner had very little offensive answers to Kayode's game plan but managed to finish the contest on his feet.
The judges scored the bout 100-90 (twice) and 99-91. Kisner is now 14-2-1, five KO's while Kayode is 21-0, 16 KO's.
