Davis Scores TKO; Martin Gets Majority Draw At Foxwoods!

A split night for Beltway Boxers at the Foxwoods in Mashantucket, CT tonight.  Baltimore featherweight Gervonta "Rambo" Davis scored a TKO at the end of the second round when his opponent, Joshua Arocho of Vineland, NJ, could not come out for the third round.

According to the tweets from KO Fantasy Boxing, Davis battered Arocho through both rounds, with one of the key punches being a lead left uppercut.  The battering forced the referee and ringside doctors to stop the bout.

Davis remains perfect at 7-0, seven KO's while Arocha drops to 3-10-4. two KO's.

DC junior middleweight Kareem "Reemo" Martin had a tough time with Azamat Umarzoda of Las Vegas by way of Tajikistan, having to settle for a four-round majority draw.

Umarzoda gained an early advantage with a counter right hand that dropped Martin in the first round.  Martin, however, came back and had a solid second round, according to KO Fantasy Boxing.

In the third, Martin sent Umarzoda to the canvas with a right hand and seemed to control the final round.  One judge scored the bout for Martin, 38-36 but was overruled by the two other judges who saw the draw at 37-37.

Martin is now 1-0-1, one KO while Umarzoda is 0-3-1.

Some people may criticize Davis for his weak opposition but the dude he just fought has gone the distance with 9 undefeated fighters including 2008 US Olympian Raynell Williams in the only fight Williams didn't ko his opponent and Davis obliterated this guy. Just shows you how good Davis is.

Davis is good. He'll be a PPV fighter in the future if he keeps working. Roach can be too, along with the two Russells who are fighting in the National Golden Gloves. Jr. is already there. Anybody who has seen these kids fight knows they are good.
