Severn, MD middleweight Sherman Artis, Jr. lost a six-round unanimous decision to undefeated Antowyan Aikens of Atlantic City, NJ Saturday night at Bally's in Atlantic City.
Artis was knocked down in the sixth round and lost by scores of 60-53 and 59-54 (twice). This was Artis's first bout in almost three years and the first loss of his pro career -- he is now 2-1. Aikens remains undefeated at 9-0, one KO.
