Mitchell Wins Rematch Over Banks in Brooklyn!

Brandywine, MD heavyweight Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell wins a 12-round unanimous decision over Johnathon Banks in their rematch tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have not seen the bout as I am returning from Frederick. (No I am not driving). Reports say the bout was a snoozefest as Mitchell knocked Banks down in the second but was rocked by Banks in the third.  Mitchell went on to win by scores of
115-112, 117-109, 114-112.  This is the first time Mitchell has gone a full 12 rounds.

Mitchell's record is now 26-1-1, 19 KO's.  Mitchell recaptures the NABO Heavyweight championship and wins the WBC International Heavyweight crown.  Banks is now 29-2-1, 19 KO's.

The Heavy Weight division is nothing anymore. TERRIBLE

Mitchell gets rubber-legged every time he gets tapped. Even Banks jab seems to disorentate him.

Yah Gary I was watching that fight, but for some reason anytime Banks Landed a punch on Mitchell, for some reason mitchell would look dazed losing his leg He seemed like he has stamina issues. i think this is something they need to work on. He looks okay when the opponent is not fighting much but once he gets a few punches he just kind of crumbles. Was very concerned till the final bell, at anytime i thought Banks might knock him out, but good job though.

Mitchell showed class in talking about Andre Hunter, but if anyone really knows boxing, they know he has no chance against Wlad, Vitali or any of the big punchers in the HW Division. He is chinny as fuck. Tyson Fury would maul him out of there. Wlad would kill him with the jab and have him out of there in two. Put him up against Thompson if he gets past Price in their rematch next month.

The American Heavyweights are lacking bigtime.

Mitchell is a nice kid but he IS NOT the next American Heavyweight by any means. If Banks had any kind of fighter mentality and wanted to actually win, Mitchell woulda been outta there. And the knockdown....was not a clear knockdown.

Some things you just can't teach, and I think he's reached his limit.

At least he can cash in on a few more paydays though.

Great job Mitchell! I'm proud to see him come back and earn a tough win against a fighter whom had previously knocked him out. We need to uplift all of our local fighters and encourage them to continue on their success rather than down talking them. Boxing is a sport of winners and losers, therefore while they are winning lets uplift them. Hates will accomplish nothing and bring condemnation upon themselves for been ugly!

Shut the hell up. You want to get Mitchell killed? He is a nice young man, but has no business in boxing anymore he is going to get brain scrambled by the top five heavies.

He knows, you know it and even Puffy Mccombs knows it first hand because he always gets knocked the fuck out!

That was a huge accomplishment for Seth! Banks was smaller and faster, so the fast exchanges benefiteed Banks. Seth was successful in dictating a pace that benefitted him. Much respect to Seth's mental stamina to go 12 with a fighter that KOd him in 2 with no tune p in between! Huge accomplishment!!!

I agree, big accomplishment! Now find another career before you get killed Glass Jaw!

Just found out, Banks was paid off to lose the fight and if you don't belive me, ask diga williams. He knows the real deal and we aints talking no Holyfields. Banks had Seths out twice and pulled back, because he didn't want him to fall oit. sad that in 2013 boxing is fixed.

Don't put my name in that. I have not said any thing of the kind!

is it true though diga williams? you don't gotta say it, but admit that you know or heard that it is true?

Gary Digital Williams said...

No I don't know and don't think it's true.

Gary your in error here.
Boxing on that level has become a real busniess.
Banks was not going to win because there is no way he's going to fight the guy he trains.
Pretty obvious Banks had no intent on beating Seth.
Mitchell is a likable sort but he is not the next coming.Banks could have had him out of there lickity split but did what he thought was the right busniess move. He was tought by the best. Rest in peace Emmanuel Stewart

I really don't think Steward would condone that kind of business in the ring. I at least hope not. Then again, I don't put nothin past anyone.
