PVA Pays Tribute To DC Coaching Legends Saturday at Rosecroft!

The Potomac Valley Association of USA Boxing is hosting a very special "Night of Legends" on Saturday, February 9 at 5 PM at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD.

The event pays tribute to six men who have given a lifetime of commitment to amateur boxing in the Washington, DC area as well as made a lifetime commitment to helping our youth.

The event will honor:

Junious Hinton

Eugene Hughes

Dave Jacobs

Ham Johnson

Vardell McCann

Curtis Rawlings

All six of these men helped lay the foundation for what we know today as the Beltway Boxing Scene.  I am very proud to say I have worked with all of them in many capacities and the tribute they are receiving is very well deserved!

These men should be honered.
They have brought much to sport
for many years.
It's sad that Truman Tuttle is not included in this group.

Great group of honorees, but Bobby Magruder should be in there, too.

My assumption that it was the Potomac Valley Association of USA Boxing.

All these men are worthy but should have mixed it up a bit.
