Windsor Mill, MD middleweight "Relentless" Julius Kennedy returns to action on Friday, March 15 when he faces veteran Harry Joe Yorgey of Bridgeport, PA in an eight-round contest at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in Valley Forge, PA.
Kennedy (7-3-1, three KO's, one NC) will be trying to break a four-bout winless streak -- all against Beltway Boxers. Kennedy's last outing was a six-round unanimous decision to Alantez Fox on January 12 in Fort Washington, MD. The loss followed a no contest with Zain Shah, a 10-round unanimous decision loss to Scott Sigmon and a 10-round draw with Jessie Nicklow.
Yorgey (25-2-1, 12 KO's) will be trying to bounce back from his eight-round knockout loss to Jermell Charlo for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Junior Middleweight title on January 26 in Las Vegas. Yorgey was knocked down twice in the loss.
Interesting stat: All seven of Kennedy's wins have come against out of town boxers while Yorgey is 7-0 against Beltway Boxers.
