Gary Digital Williams bringing out-of-town fights directly to your living room. LMAO You are the man! Please post our other locals who just fought in NC. You keep boxing going in the DMV. Thank You, Alex
Gary has helped these young men since they were 55lb. kids fighting in the amateurs. In fact, he still does post results as soon as he gets them. Actually, you can sometimes find him at the shows reporting live. Professional and amateur. The man is awsome! I believe he's in basketball too. Not sure which came first; I just hope he's around for a very long time. He allows us all to follow boxing so much easier.
By the way, just checked with a reporter who covers boxing in North Carolina and was at the card in Winston-Salem last night. Neither Jerry Odom nor Greg Newby fought last night. In fact, only three of the eight bouts slated for last night actually took place. The reporter didn't know why the bouts were cancelled.
Odom is going to be on the March 2 card at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD. Newby is slated to be on the March 30 card at the Renaissance Hotel in DC.
I understand the kid is only 18 but really??? His opponent wouldn't even be Class B or C fighter at the amateur level. Fighting novice amateurs at the pro level do nothing for nobody. They might as well have hung a heavybag in the middle of the ring and had him put on a heavybag workout for 6 rounds.
BATB is "The place to go if you want to know about any upcoming show or results, from amateur to the pros, in Virginia, Maryland and the District." -- Thom Loverro, The Washington Times.

Thank you for the comments. I wish I could take direct credit but I only post what is given to me. Someone sent me this so the credit belongs to them.

His opponent was a former National Golden Gloves Champion in 1995. I know that was long ago, but to say he was a B or C level amateur is false.
Today he wouldn't be considered a Class B or C amateur fighter. I'm not talking about what he did almost 20 years ago.
Last 3 comments came from the very same person. She hatin big time!
