Sigmon, McCalla Gain Victories in North Carolina!

Two Beltway Boxers won unanimous decisions in Raleigh, NC on Friday.  Bedford, VA super middleweight Scott "Cujo" Sigmon successfully defended his WBC USNBC Super Middleweight title with a 10-round decision over Carlton Holland of Durham, NC.  Sigmon won by 98-92 on all three judges's scorecards.  This was a rematch of a bout Sigmon won over Holland on May 8, 2010 in Bedford.

This was Sigmon's second defense of his title, and his sixth straight victory and 14th in his last sixteen.  The win raises his record to 22-3, 12 KO's.  Holland is now 18-13-1, nine KO's.

Also on the card, Randallstown, MD junior middleweight Cecil McCalla remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Kevin "Dog Pound" Carter of Winston-Salem, NC.  This was McCalla's first bout since May 21 and he is now 14-0, five KO's.  Carter falls to 11-62-1, three KO's.

Wow! Cujo threw 1506 punches in the fight. Great job! That is why Pavlik wouldn't fight him and picked Jaco.

Pavlik wanted someone to knockout. He couldn't knockout Cujo, that's why he didn't sign the contract.
