Six Beltway Boxers Advance To Golden Gloves Quarterfinals!

Six Beltway amateurs have advanced to the quarterfinals of the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions in Indianapolis, IN.

At 108 Pounds, Jeremy Morales won his second-round contest with a decision over Eddie Dean of Michigan.

Gary Antonio Russell advanced to the quarterfinals of the 123-pound class with a decision over Tyshawn Jones of New Jersey.

Kevin Rivers, Jr. moved into the quarters of the 132-pound class with a decision over Anthony Burgin of Pennsylvania.

In the 141-pound division, Michael Reed won a decision over Preston Freeman of St. Louis.

Antoine Douglas moved into the quarters of the 165-pound class with a victory over Lawrence King of Buffalo.

Jerry Odom gor the first Referee Stops Contest for a Beltway Boxer as he scored an RSC-3 over Ryan Riley of the Mid-South team in the 178-pound class.

However, David Grayton's bid for a second straight national title has been stopped. Grayton lost his second-round bout in the 152-pound class by decision to Cesar Vila of Texas.

Also falling in the tournament were Maurice Adams, Jr. (114 Pounds) and Jerrell Reeves (201+ Pounds)

Digital,

I'm glad you didn't get rid of the anonymous comments. Sure everyone gets blasted pretty hard from time to time on this site but so what. The profanity laced comments are another thing. There is a way through Blogger to filter profane words so that they will show up as symbols instead of words, kind of like the old cartoons and comic books. I am one who votes to keep the anonymous comments.
