Salinas Falls in Mexico Title Shot; Attah Scores Knockout in Vegas!

"The Bolivian Queen" Jennifer Salinas of Manassas, VA lost a 10-round unanimous decision to the "Aztec Princess" Jackie Nava last night in Yucatan, MX for the interim WBC Female Super Bantamweight championship.

The judges scored the bout 100-90, 99-91 and 99-90. The loss was Salinas's second straight and she is now 11-3, four KO's. Nava's record rises to 23-2, 11 KO's.

At the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Daniel "The Prophet" Attah of DC scored a surprise second-round knockout over touted prospect Marvin Quintero of Tijuana, MX. Attah landed a brutal right hand to stop Quintero at 1:55 of the second. The win breaks a three-bout losing streak for Attah and raises his record to 25-6-1, nine KO's. Quintero loses for the first time in five bouts and falls to 20-3, 16 KO's.
