Jeter was knocked down in the first round as Robbins came out blazing. Jeter then overpowered Robbins in the second. Jeter is now 9-2, eight KO's.

I thought Dirrell was bad Gary. He clearly hit him when he was on the ground. I'm right there. No one said anything not even his rented corner. Lol. That's what happens when u fight at home.

Gary Digital Williams said...

I agree. I thought Robbins was down as well. Whether the DC Commission overturns this remains to be seen.

Tony Jeter - Congratulations on your huge win! That's the type of win that can really do huge things for your career! When the history of boxing is written, Tony Jeter's name will be mentioned in the same breath as Tyson, Foreman, Frazier, and Robinson as one of the great punchers of all time! I can hear it now:

Man #1 "Who do you think hits harder Mike Tyson or Tony Jeter?"

Man #2 "That's a tough one. I was ringside when Tyson knocked out Trevor Berbick and when Foreman pummelled Kenny Norton. But that Tony Jeter. Man when he hit Vincent Robbins, who was a stud by the way, what a bomb! And the time he stretched Darrett Crockett! Crazy Power! And the fight against James Shedrick, oh wait a second, that was Tony who got stretched in that one!"

Man #1 "I would have to say Foreman 1st, then Tyson, then Mo Better Jeter in 3rd, and Frazier 4th! The Jeter KO over Pete Guthy, that was the real perfect punch. Not Sugar Ray Robinson against Gene Fulmer. Pound for Pound, Tony Jeter is the biggest puncher that ever lived!"

Tony, your confidence must be at an all time high now that you're 9 and 2 with 8 devastating knockouts against stellar, steel chinned opposition! Between you and me, you've got Cujo running scared from you. He doesn't really want to fight you. But I think I may be able to convince him. I may be able to talk him in to it. There is a glimmer of hope, just maybe.

We have a date: May 8th, 2010.

We have a place: Lynchburg, VA.

We may even have a weight: You were 167 for this fight which makes you 4 pounds heavier than Cujo when he fought Jessie Nicklow. Tony Jeter is the bigger man!

The only thing missing is you big boy!

Give me a call! I would love to exchange pleasantries with you and pick up our conversation right where we left off in Baltimore.

Yours truly, your BFF, your pal -

Joe Hensley

How bad was Jeter hurt and was it a really bad foul on Robbins?

Gary Digital Williams said...

Jeter wasn't hurt that badly. Also, I wouldn't go so far as to say the foul on Robbins was that bad, nor was it deliberate.

There was no question Robbins was on a knee when Jeter landed a punch, however, Jeter could not stop his momentum when trying to finish Robbins off. I'd be shocked if the DC Commission changes this.

I looked at the guys that jeter has fought and the guys that robbins has fought and why is Mr Jeter fighting people like this.
Tony can fight and needs to challenge himself to step up to the plate. He had a large amateure
career and an excellent trainer.
Is he going to let his one ko loss destroy his future as a fighter.
Maybe it's his Ego is bigger than
his nuts. Also all of you so called journalists who uphold these type of opponents should really give some second thoughts to the kind of comments you make on these blogs.
Give credit to the fighters that fight tough and discredit the fighters that fight soft all of the time.
Don't want to open a can of worms
oops' I m ay have already done that.
Yall come back now.

Joe Hensley is a rank amateur in all respects. Broke loser.

I could understand a fighter accidently hitting a downed opponent but why wasn't Robbins granted time to recover from that foul?I wasn't there but it sounds to me it was clear that Robbins was on his knee when hit and if thats the case he should have been given time to recover as he was fouled.

Joe is just trying to make a fight. Jeter calls for the contract back in January. Then he acts like a horse's ass in Bmore. Now Jeter gets his tune up fight. Joe's got a date, Cujo needs an opponent. Is you is or is you ain't my baby - Tony Jeter?

Mike D said...

Joe your a real piece of work.

Who wrote "Joe is gonna hurt Jeter when he sees him"? That is a joke.

By the way Joe you weren't even at the fights. Unless you were lurking the shadows.
Your hypothetical comments are ridiculous. Grow the F up my man.

I hope Joe Hensley doesn't die from all those liposuction procedures he's been having.

Anonymous said...

Joe doesn't want the fight he just wants the hype he knows tony is not stepping foot in lynchburg, that would be like asking cujo to fight at club one it just won't happen

Anonymous said...

Jeter just about got stretched by a straight up bum. What a joke.

Cujo would take the fight at club one, however on the following condition:

Winner takes all-the whole purse. Send the contract Mo Better Promotions.

your not joe hensley so you can't say what cujo would do

I will promote the fight in Springfield and thats neutral ground. If both parties are interested give me a call. I don't have a stake in either side and the commission doesn't play favortisim in virginia.

Joe Hensley said...

Hell, Cujo will not only fight him at Club One, he'll fight him at Clubs 2, 3, 4, and 5! Cujo will fight Jeter in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Russia, Mongolia, The Moon, Jupiter, and all points in between! We've got a date, we've got a venue, we've got a ring. What difference does it make where the fight is held? Just another pitiful excuse. Jeter won't make it to the halfway point in the fight anyway so it doesn't matter who the commission is.

What happened to give me the contract Joe? I'll sign the contract, I'll sign the contract! Keep fighting the Vincent Robbins of the world and knocking those guys out.

Stop with the excuses Jeter. Step up and fight!

After cujo vs nicklow I would like to see the fight! Take it Jeter, I honestly think Jeter has enough power to
capitalize where Nicklow didn't but the biggest factor is Jeter's heart. Nicklow was visually exhausted towards the end of the fight with cujo. The fight would be a toss up I think and entertaining. Critics need to back off Jeter a little bit, Joe look who you put George in with after he was stopped. Deep down you have to
know it's just part of the game. The way average fighters are built.

Anonymous said...

Noxious you cannot be serious about Jeter being competitive with Cujo. Can you imagine Jeter hanging with Espinal or Nicklow? Please! Jeter is going to get butchered if he fights Cujo. He won't go 4 rounds. Jeter needs to stick to fighting the lame and loony of the world. Hes got no balls and hes got no chance against Cujo. None! If he fights Cujo and I would love to see it. He will quit on his stool in the 3rd or 4th.

I have been assigned by one of the New York boxing groups to monitor this blog and brief the higher ups. Not being from the area, I've never seen Hensley. From reading the posts, I have figured out that he is fat and possibly has lost some weight. In reading Hensley's own posts between the lines, it appears that he may be gay or bi-sexual. He is always flaming about something in a way that promoters up this way would never think of doing. He writes like an excited high school freshman girl. Please give me an idea of how this guy carries himself. Does he have a feminine way about himself, as in fat chick feminine? Has he been romantically linked to any men? Any information about Hensley would be helpful for my report.

This shit is getting old with jeter and cujo i really think jeter is afraid but to hear him tell it he wants money joe h if you want this to happen please give tony a good amount of money and make this happen joe put it out on the blog what you will pay him than if he dont answer then tony you should just admit you cant beat him and we all move on and let tony keep fighting the people he is because in his mind hes going to get a big money fight but with the people hes fighting i dont think hes going to you dont get no points for fighting them guys and their droping you and your winning controversal fights. joe please put a stop to this and pay the man i sure you will do good off of it iam from balto. and i will make the trip. if the other promoters stop getting tony them kind of fights then he fights or he dont tony you really need to step it up. show us what you can do if you cant please ,please leave the sport alone thanks

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure if Joey H is gay or not. I don't think so. But there is a feminine quality to him. He swishes his big ass when he walks and clicks his heels when he turns. Don't waste your time scouting him or his talent. There is nothing there. Nothing at all. Plus your guys would never work with him or take him seriously. He is turning boxing down this way into a small, regional pro wrestling circuit. Joey seems to have something that he could cultivate into something good, but he just don't have it in him to do it in a professional, dignified manner. He can't separate himself from the fans so he's not going anywhere.

you are the one looking like a fool when it's all said and done.

Focus on the amateur talent. The pros in this area, because of their leadership (or lack thereof), are a joke.

I stop in on this blog from LA once a week and gots to say I've never seen anything like this where the non-accomplished promoter tries to take the profile away from the fighters. Your only hope is the next generation -- the current one is shot.

MCcalla vs Nicklow-I think MCcalla takes this one rather easily as I think MCcalla is a class or 2 above Nicklow. Its a bout I don't think Nicklow's people would ever consider. How about MCcalla vs Arvin?Or maybe its a little to early in MCcalla's career for that type of fight.
As far as Cujo vs Jeter is concerned I don't think Jeter will fight Cujo so I think Joe needs to leave that alone although Jeter really needs to keep quiet as hes as much to blame in this war of words if not more so-he said prior to the Nicklow bout for Joe to give him the contract to sign and then acted rather foolish at ringside.Jeter if you won't fight Cujo then keep quiet and let other more deserving boxers get the attention that they are due.

Arvin vs McCalla would be a good Fight, that would have to be for a Title though. I would love to see that!

Steve said...

No disrespect to Jeter, But if he wanted to Fight Cujo he would have signed the Contract by now. Jeter really don't want no trouble cause if he did, thats all he have to do is get in the ring with Cujo & settle everything. So lets talk about something else!

Anonymous said...

I would love to see Arvin Vs McCalla far as Nickelow Vs McCalla that would make no sense for Nicklow unless he wants to just be a local fighter. Nicklow needs to start fighting to build his career.

Anonymous said...

I think thats a fight that everyone would want to see, McCalla vs Nicklow!

Anonymous said...

Nicklow showed a lot of heart and conditioning in his fight with Cujo. McCalla is very good though. I think they are both better than Arvin who was never much imo.

Man, this blog is outrageous. You guys haven't produced nothing but sissy talk. No legit champions in a long time. Lost your good reputation that's what you've done. It's all about leadership and you ain't got none. Too bad because 10-15 years ago DC was on top. First thing you gots to do is figure out a way to get rid of this Hensley. You can't be taken seriously with a clown like that in the picture. None of the bigs in LA, LV or NYC will talk to guys like that.

Anonymous said...

shit, that man knows everybody and is respected by everybody. try to defame him if you will but the man's got balls to sign his name to the posts and he has only said bad things about two of the biggest dirtballs (and everybody that knows them knows they are dirtballs) in the game.

What about all the posts he doesn't sign his name to?

Anonymous said...

has everybody cleared that yet with johnny?

Why this talk about Jeter and Cujo? Jeter in this area isnt in the same class as Paschall or Nicklow. Cujo showed some heart but seems to be lacking in raw talent, he is still young but is a definate gamer. Puts punches together in an odd way.

Nickow and Paschall are average club fighters but are way above Jeter. Paschall doesnt, and has never seemed too serious, always has fought too heavy and likes the drink too much, but is a tough kid with good skills. He has fought two real good fighters and showed serious heart, if no punch. Nicklow is tough and works hard, just limited.

Tony's not a serious fighter, he dabbles in the sport. He is impossible to match because he never, ever wants to fight a real opponent. Simply put, he's not a serious fighter, he's a dabbler. Understand for a local fight Simon Jeter would be fun, but Tony doesnt want this fight so it wont happen. Tony's interview exposed him, he believes he is a prospect, no such thing with his record and age, he's simply a dabbler.

The only real prospects in this area are Guerrero, Russell and Seth Mitchell. The young heavyweight kid Kisner may develop, but it is real early. James Stevenson is actually putting together a solid record and may get some fights like Ed Grifin did back in the day. But there are no Shambra Mitchells, Maurice Blockers, Vince Pettways, Simon Browns, Riddick Bowes, Mark Johnsons on the horizon.

So that said, Jeter has done a good job bringing attention to himself but no one who knows this sport takes him seriously and no one outside the area is paying attention. He says he can punch a little, fight a little, which he thinks is false modesty but is a very good assessment.

Fernando would blow him out in one round, Paschall and Nicklow would both destory him. Cujo, everyone knows you would fight him, most believe you would ko him but he wont do it. Keep working but move on, its not worth your time. He's a dabbler, you have the potential to be a decent club fighter, espn undercard material if you work hard. My take.

Boxing said...

Wow-that was a great post although I think Stevenson will develope into a better pro then Grifin did but only time will tell.

Anonymous said...

That long winded post, gee I wonder who that was? I thought you always signed your name Joe H?

I think Paschall is pretty darn good and doesn't fight to his full potential. I'm not impressed at all by Stevenson. Very ordinary. Yeah, he beat Rivera but I've seen George several times and George isn't as good as he used to be. Mitchell may get a big fight next year and I hope he wins bc I'm tired of seeing that fat Chris whatever and having him shoved down my throat as a prospect. Of course Gary is the real deal. He will be a world champ. And lastly Manny Taylor - overrated fighter fought a stupid fight against journeyman and got a hometown decision imo. And finally I like Guerrero!

Anonymous said...

Only Legit Fighter in the Beltway area is Mark TNT Tucker...Everybody else is a complete waste of time.

Tank! said...

You must need Glasses if you think Mark Tucker is the only real prospect in the area!

Anonymous said...

My take on the scene:

Cecil McCalla is good hes better than Stevenson. Arvin and Lang are done. Niclo and Rivera aint what they used to be. Cujo is exciting but has long way to go. Pascal is better than people give him credit for. Dont train hard enough though. Hes better than Tucker. Tucker is not scared to fight tough. Manny Taylor is good but hes not legit for world title pic in future. Gary Russell Jr is legit and will be World Champ. Seth Mitchell may have chance bc hevyweight division is so weak. Tim Colemans fought some tough guys and has big win. Bayan Jargals fun to watch but gets that chin checked against suspects. Andrew Farmer needs to fight smarter fights he has some tools.

I may have missed a few but the guy that said there are no Sharmba Mitchells and the like was right we were fortunate to have those guys years back.

Gary Russell Jr will be a World Champ. Seth Mitchell may make some noise bc you never know about heavyweights. The rest of the guys have a long way to go.

Anonymous said...

Well said! i think Stevenson is a good Fighter, but he need a Step-up Fight to asess himself!

McCalla is a pretty good Prospect, he will do great in Boxing especially when he move down to 147!

Taylor is good, but the Kid is young & have to mature. I think he will be better fighting at 135!

Nicklow, A local great club fighter, shot from Gurerro KO.

Paschal, another great club fighter with potential!

Tucker, his Dad is moving him SAFE!

Arvin, 1 of the toughest Fighters in the Area.

Russell, a Great Propect that will do Great in the Boxing World!

Mitchell, i see him fighting for a Heavyweight Title 1 day!

Gurerro, I see fighting for a Title 1 day, needs to work on his defense.

Coleman, doing his thing! He know what its like to be in the Fast lane.

Peterson Brothers, resume speaks for themself!

A the end of the day, each fighters can learn something to better their Techniques to sharping their Skills!

Anyone I miss! NO DISRESPECT!

Anonymous said...

Tucker playing it safe? Dude, u OBVIOUSLY don't know anything about the sport...He has way better competition than anyone along the beltway, especially for 13 fights! Please don't play boy genius, when your knowledge is that of a neophyte!

Tucker is not afraid to fight tough fights. He is being moved nicely and correctly for a young prospect.
