L. Peterson Returns to Action In Vegas April 10!

DC's Lamont Peterson returns to action for the first time since his title shot loss to Timothy Bradley on Saturday, April 10 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Cafe in Las Vegas. Peterson (27-1, 13 KO's) will be in a 10-round co-feature against Damian Fuller of of Detroit, MI (30-6-1, 14 KO's). The bout will be shown on Fox Sports en Espanol. This is an important bout for Peterson with a possible big-money bout against former WBC Lightweight champ Edwin Valero in the fall.

Beltway Boxing fans may remember Fuller's outstanding performance at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA in May of 2007 when he stopped Dean White in the third round. Fuller has lost his last two, including a bid for the USBA Lightweight title in his last outing in October of 2008. Fuller was stopped in the ninth round by Tyrone Harris.

UPDATE: AOL Boxing Fanhouse's Lem Satterfield is reporting that promoter Bob Arum says "the ideal place for [Valero-Peterson] would be in Washington, DC. But we'll have to see. And, as far as when, probably in July."
