Snow Wins Majority Decision in Minnesota!

Capitol Heights, MD featherweight Thomas "KO" Snow won a six-round majority decision over previously undefeated Willshaun Boxley of Coon Rapids, MN Friday night at the Grand Casino in Hinkley, MN.

No word on the judge's scorecards but according to Jesse Kelley of Minnesotaboxing.com, Snow was content to stay on his bike and jab, literally running at times while Boxley showed impressive defense but the judges felt he wasn't busy enough.

With the win, Snow is now 11-1, eight KO's while Boxley is 5-1, three KO's. Snow will not appear on the Friday, June 12 Major League Boxing card at the Virginia Sports Complex in Ruther Glen, VA.

For the record: Snow got SHOT by a .45 in April comes back TWO MONTHS LATER after an 11 month lay off and beats MN's TOP 122lbs prospect by MAJORITY decision in Boxley's HOMETOWN for his TUNE UP FIGHT? It was pretty impressive to me. Here's the link:http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/generic/wftc/WFTCTBOXING in case u missed the next World Champ at work

Yes, go and watch the fight video again on myfox9.com. The video is archived. I haven't watch the video again yet but from I remember thinking Snow was busier in the end. However, it is a six round fight. Snow won his rounds more convincingly but I don't see how you can score rounds 1,4 and 6 for snow? Round 4 might be close, I don't know, but rounds 1 and 6 were not even close. Snow ran around the ring like De La Hoya did to trinidad when he thought he had it in the bag.

that man won the fight, and if you think you have it in the bag you should stat out of harms way, thats how fighers with good records get a loss, tryingt prove something to early on, keep winning snow and remember the name of the game is to hit and not get hit

The scores were:
59-55, 57-57, 58-56 for Snow.
I had it 59-55 and so did Tony (the Promoter) and the two other commentators.
Jesse, we actually discussed the strategy we thought we'd need to win in Boxley's backyard.
We knew we'd need separation so the judges could see Snow touch Boxley and not get touched back.
If they fought toe to toe, even if Snow got the better of the exchanges, we felt like the judges could make an (invalid) argument for Boxley. I think we made a wise decision.
BTW- I thought Snow had a good quote:
"That's why its called BOXING and not KNOCK OUT".

Great Job Thomas Snow, I watched the fight on video live and thought you won it 5-1 easy. You were better than Boxley. I am so glad you went up to minnesota and shut the mouths of them goofs that live up there. I have never seen worst boxing fans in my life than minnesota!!!! I've been all over too. For the record I think Tony G is a good guy and probably the best promoter in minnesota hands down. If a promotion company called MSC call your people. hang up these people are the worst ive dealy with in 44 pro fights. I thought I dealt with some shitty ass promoters/matchmakers in the past but these goofs take the cake. anyway congrats on the win and hope to sit down and have another beer with you and mikey soon. your friend Ron Krull

Ron Krull is hating on MSC again because he got KOd in the first round of their card. He is a joke. MSC always pays well and there checks clear. I love them.
