Rawlings Named Outstanding Timekeeper at National Golden Gloves!

One more award for the Beltway Boxing scene came out of the recent National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions in Salt Lake City, UT. This one went to a local official who really deserves his praise.

His name is Curtis Rawlings and recently he was named one of the Outstanding Official in the Timekeeper division. Rawlings was one of only three named from across the country.

Those of you familiar with the Beltway Boxing scene (especially on the amateur side) are familiar with Mr. Rawlings. He has been a part of the scene for many, many years. He has been associated with the Potomac Valley Association of USA Boxing and has been an official with the Washington, DC Boxing Hall of Fame. He has also mentored many folks on the amateur and pro side of the sport in this area. I include myself in that category.
