Rivera Injured And Off Saturday Card in Lynchburg!

Fluvanna, VA junior middleweight George "Wartime" Rivera suffered an injury in training and is off this Saturday's Major League Boxing card at the Lynchburg City Armory in Lynchburg, VA. No official word on what type of injury Rivera suffered.

The rest of the card remains intact as does the internet pay-per-view broadcast which will begin at 6 PM ET on www.youcastr.com. The broadcast, hosted by "The Fight Doctor" Jerome Spears and yours truly, costs $4.99.

Wow Gary! You're so fast, they ought to call you Scoop! I just found out about an hour ago myself. George hurt his back and will be out of commission for a while. His doctor told him there was no way he could fight. See you and Jerome on Saturday. By the way, that's not the only change. Juan Robles will not be fighting Pearl Dotson from West VA. Dotson is out due to an illness. Robles will be fighting William "The Storm" Bailey in a rematch of what was a great fight last year that was won by Bailey.

Thanks,

Joe Hensley

I actually saw your note on Boxrec, Joe. I will make the Robles-Bailey update a little later on.
