March 14 Winchester Card Coming Together!

The Left Hook Promotions card slated for Saturday, March 14 at the Winchester Sportsplex in Winchester, VA is coming together with some interesting bouts.

The co-feature will match underfeated Warren "The Mack" Clatterbuck of Front Royal, VA taking on debuting Winchester, VA boxer Dave Spechlor in a four-round welterweight encounter.

Clatterbuck (6-0, three KO's) has not fought since his November 2007 third-round TKO win over Kendrick Archer in Springfield, VA. Spechlor is a three-time Toughman champion.

Also making his debut is Arlington, VA middleweight Justin Ridgeway who will take on DC's Calvin "Shotgun" Aughtrey (0-5) in a four-round matchup. Aughtrey is coming off a tough four-round loss against Jeremiah Wiggins on January 17 in Springfield.

Returning to action after a long absence is DC's John Stewart AKA Yahya Mustapha (3-11). Stewart fought as a welterweight from 1989-1997 and won his last two bouts before he started. Stewart will take on Winchester, VA's Scott Hosaflook (0-3) in a four-round bout.

Also on the card will be Front Royal cruiserweight Daniel Shull (0-5) who will look for his first win against the debuting Abloyt Abashi of Ghana, now fighting out of Silver Spring, MD.

Undefeated Arlington, VA lightweight "The Mongolian Mongoose" Bayan Jargal will be in the main event. Jargal (10-0-1, seven KO's) will take on Grand Rapids, MI veteran Reggie Nash (9-20-1, two KO's) in an eight-round bout. Also cruiserweight Jon Haggler is slated to be on this card.

Probably not. I will be at the Golden Gloves in the evening and taking my son to the Harlem Globetrotters in the afternoon.

gary,

what are your picks for the fights?

I like Jargal against anybody at this stage. I haven't seen some of these guys. I wish I could see the matchup between Ridgeway and Aughtrey.

If he could ever learn how to pull the trigger (and employ some defense) "Shotgun" Aughtrey could make that bout interesting. He hits hard but throws too little and takes too much punishment.
