what does a loss by 'walkover' mean Gary? - amir

it could mean he over weight, missed the weigh-in (late) or was injured and declared not fit to compete.

Both bouts were close from what I heard and Javontae Starks won the 2008 Under-19 Championships and USA Tournament (now called US Future Stars), so he was a tough first draw for Marquis. Still heard the bout was close. Starks won yesterday 5-0 and the boxer Allen lost to stopped his second opponent. I heard that both results were disputed by the crowds.

The D/M/V does have top talent but there are a lot of good young amateurs around today.

I overheard a coach talking to another about how back in the day, our gyms in the area used to match up boxers more than they do today. Some coaches now may hold off matching their boxer up with another that they may see in tournament action. Apparently, back in the day, coaches would take bouts with those same boxers more readily and it made the D/M/V boxers that much better when we went out of town. I have only experienced that during the Silver Gloves tournament, where coaches and gyms would regularly get together for sparring and I can say it did make us that much better. At the Regionals the D/M/V was well represented and even at the Nationals. I think in part the success we had was because the gyms were working closer together. Hopefully, we can get back to that.

we are expermenting terrible eating habits in the east coast. out fighters are way over weight.
fighters went to the pal weighing 12 1/2 pounds over the 141 pound limit and went on a crash diet to lose weight. they were tire and lost due to dehidearaction. we need to put our funds together and hior a nudertritionastylist. we in the east coat have the best fighters in the world but we eat far much too much food. we need to stick to veagabeatables and fruits.
bannas are posttasteminum and give yo extra energies. contact your local doctor in you can not aford a nudertritionastylist. simple diet diagrams will do wonders.
