Cummings Loses Unanimous Decision in Chicago!

Baltimore light heavyweight Corey "Black Ice" Cummings lost a 10-round unanimous decision to former IBF Light Heavyweight champion Montell "Ice" Griffin last night at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL.

Griffin knocked Cummings down in the third round and according to the judges's scorecards, Griffin had complete control of the bout. All three judges scored a shutout for Griffin, 100-89.

Cummings's record falls to 16-3, 12 KO's. Griffin is now 49-7, 30 KO's.

That is surprising to me. Let's face it, Montell Griffin isn't anywhere near what he was 7 to 10 years ago (and he wasn't all that then). And he dominated Corey now. What's that say about Corey? Very surprising to me.

Montell Griffin can still fight. Too many veteran tricks I'd bet. Hopefully, it was a good learning experience for Corey.
