Beltway Schedule Addition: December 9 at the Lincoln Theatre!

When I posted the fall Beltway Boxing schedule earlier this month, I said there are more cards being talked about.

I can now confirm one of those talked-about cards: Saturday, December 9 at the historic Lincoln Theatre in DC!

Babie Girl Promotions -- headed by Cassandra White -- will put on its second card at the Lincoln. You'll remember that White promoted the show in March headlined by Henry "Sugar Poo" Buchanan stopping Lloyd "Jabba" Bryan.

Not much is known at this time about the December 9 show, however, with her main event, White plans to answer one of the burning and most-asked questions along the Beltway: "Where is Clarence 'Untouchable' Vinson?" Yes, Vinson is slated to headline the December 9 show.

By the way, Vinson is now being trained by Beltway Boxing legend Darryl "Terrible T" Tyson. I plan to talk to both men between now and December 9.

Shoot. I could be mistaken, but isn't that the same date as Joe's second Patriot Center show?

Yes, that is the same date!

As far as the Patriot Center show, a lot depends on what happens next Friday.

Don't you mean next Saturday?

Vinson has been his worst enemy.Leaving Ham fo Adrien Davis. That didn't work and then he left his mgt Gary Gittelson an since then he has done nothing. He mad the team in 2000 this kid is in trouble. Now he is fighting at 122 or 126 he's to small. This kid is confused Gary is he really Ham grandson if so he should used Mark TooSharp. He;s another fighter who had it going on now he's just another person who made the team and done nothing with it.Gary do you think him and Mark would be good fight for DC. I still think Mark would take him the school I seen Mark kill him at round 1

Gary who ever asked about Mark and Vinson that would be something to see.I will pay to see that.I still think Mark would kill him.

I agree with the last person. The teacher didn't teach a students all of the tricks.I would take odds on that fight Mark 4 to 1

Mark and I talked about this a while back. At that time, Mark didn't want to do the bout.

I don't think that has changed at this point, but in boxing you learn to never say never.

Gary are can you talk to Mark about this.Vinson turned out to be a person who let the street get to him .If was very active i think he could have been a world champion nowI don't think he compete with the fighters today.

People tyson can't help this kid his career is over he's to small to fight 122 and he can't make 118 sorry Vinson.

Men let's not put him in the same sentence with Mark TooSharp. Are you fan's or your want to see this kid get hurt.He hasn't fought anybody who can compare with Toosharp.Mark said if the MONEY is right.Just like Simon and Blocker.I would love to see it.Now thats how you bring Boxing Back to DC.People do you think they would ever fight.

Yes people I seen Mark and Vinsion work an they had a lot of respect for each other.I don't know if they are some kend but I do know Ham took him in at the age of 6 and been with threw out his Career until Juice came around and brained washed him to make him leave ham an know you got fired. This is a love an hait relationship so because of that I think Mark would fight him.Gary or people who do you think would WIN.

Reds
I use to train with Vinson
ask Ham what he did to Lou Diblea
Vinson's Former Promoter to make Vinson leave him .. It was a business spilt that turned personal but you are right its a Love hate relationship but who knows if they have settle differances ...
Mark and Vinson would be a very intersting fight because both men know each other so well ..
I can't pick a winner but i will say the winner will be the one who can make the other one make more mistakes...

T J be for real Mark and Adam have a great relationship I be with both of them. Talk about what you know, not what you heard. Your fake ass people need to stop acting like they would fight. I know about the Dibella situation. For 1 when tried to say Ham got him hurt in training. Come on people. T J use your real now. You probaly know me

No,No we don't need that fight to bring back boxing in DC.We need to keep our people together.Let's not talk about that fight.Mark made his name in Boxing history.Let Vinsion try to make his own name in the pro ranks.Lets give him a chance he's not going to be the first to screw his career up and he wont be the last.I know what happend to Ham and Vinsion and those thangs happen in boxing and in every other busines.Ham,Mark still wish the best for this kid.

Gary and everybody on the blog.I don't that fight would happen.I was with both of them and that was their plan. To let Vinsion win the title from him. They use to talk about that all the time. But Adam couldn't make 115lbs.They are close in and out of the ring.Adam bet his mgrt.A rolex watch when Mark Fernando Montiel. They even work a couple of days leading up to that fight.I watch Adam in the gym and A D and Juice ruined this kid i'm happy he is back on track. Let him take 1 fight at a time. PS watch your fighters around Juice Gatlin And A D they will STEAL them PS don't forget about DUKE

Well, let's see the kid get back in the ring and beat a journeymen before we put him in with an (aging or not) Mark Johnson. He's had to have been out of the ring for damn near two years now, if I'm not mistaken. Vinson had/has some talent. No doubt there. And he's still young enough to where he could make a 'move'. But he has to do it now. And 122...He MIGHT be okay there. (I STRESS the "might") 126? No. That would be a TERRIBLE move in my opinion.

Peace...

Quote: "He's too small for 122.lbs, and he can't make 118.lbs".

With all due respect, there is something wrong with that comment. If he is legitimately "too small" for 122.lbs, there is no reason why he shouldn't/couldn't be at 118.lbs. If he legitimately can't make 118.lbs any longer - he's not "too small" for 122.lbs. (In this day and age, there is a proper weight class for everybody, and their mother and brother included.)

Let me say this cruiserweight.Vinson is to short for 122. He's only 5 ft tall and he's to stocky to make 118.I still think he has some talent. The only problem is in the smaller weight's no matter what your record is all of them can fight.Vinson lost two in a row.So I would like to see him get back on track.Mark right now he's got a lot rust to shake off.Mark is a gentlemen inside the ring and the funniest outside the ring.I hope it don't happen but money make people do strange thing's.Mark would win byKO in 8.

The man with the plan you make some good point's. I use to watch both of them over round 1. Vinson is very short but he cock strong Mark look liked. Tommy Hearns when they use to sparr.Even though A D was training Vinson. What I seen was Mark taking him the school but Vinson was holding his own.I remember one day Mark had bust Vinson mouth real bad and He and Mark was laughing and joking about it.Vinson was like man you F me up today and Mark said ok it's on tomorrow. and was just having a good time from what I seen.He and He and Mark have a great relationship. When Mark lost he was the first to call, and when Vinson lost Mark was the first to call. I worked with Mark for three years and Vinson For one

I kind of see what your saying "Man with plan". I thought he was SLIGHTLY taller than 5-feet (5'1" or 5'2"?) but regardless, yes...He is indeed very short. And he's not a very big puncher, either. 122.lbs would be "iffy" and a risk, 126.lbs...Would be downright crazy. Peace...
