A host of local boxers will be a part of the TGB Promotions card that will take place on Saturday, November 2nd at the MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD.
The local parade is being led by the Undefeated Russell Brothers, Antonio, and Antuanne who will compete in either eight or 10-round bouts. Super lightweight Antuanne will risk his perfect record (11-0, 11 KO's) against Juan "El General" Huertas of 24 de Diciembre, Panama. Russell comes off a first-round knockout win over Luis Ronaldo Castillo on September 21st in Bakersfield, CA. Huertas (14-2-1, 10 KO's) makes his US debut on this card and he is winless in his last two bouts, including a third-round knockout over Jon Fernandez on April 20th in Guecho, Spain.
Antonio, a bantamweight (15-0, 11 KO's), last fought on July 13th and won a 10-round unanimous decision over Francisco Pedroza in Minneapolis, MN. No word yet on Russell's opponent for this card.
Undefeated Hyattsville, MD featherweight Cobia "The Soldier" Breedy will be in a 10-round contest against Dennis "Martillo" Contreras of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Breedy (14-0, four KO's) won his first 10-round contest by unanimous decision over Ryan Lee Allen on August 3rd in Brooklyn, NY. Contreras (21-10-1, 19 KO's) scored an upset in his last outing, defeating previously undefeated Fernando Garcia by eight-round majority decision on May 25th in Biloxi, MS.
Landover, MD welterweight Tyrek "I.G.B" Irby competes in an eight-round contest against veteran Joaquin "Chico" Chavez of Commerce, CA. Irby (8-0, three KO's) comes off a third-round TKO win over Lucas Andres Dadamo on August 31st in Minneapolis. Chavez (9-18-4, two KO's) suffered cut over the left eye in his last outing on June 28th in Temecula, CA and the bout was declared a technical draw.
Glenarden, MD lightweight Drayvontay Speed Rawls will be in an eight-round bout against Wanzell "Venom" Ellison of Newark, NJ. Speed Rawls (12-1-1, eight KO's) advances to the eight-round plateau for the first time in this bout after winning a six-round unanimous decision over Jonathan Perez on May 25th in Fairfax, VA. Ellison (11-1-1, five KO's) has not fought since suffering his only loss, an eight-round unanimous decision defeat to Tony Luis in July of 2014 in Verona, NY.
Hyattsville super lightweight Patrick "Y.G. Pat" Harris competes in an eight-round encounter against Nelson Lara of Costa Rica by way of Nicaragua. Harris (17-0, eight KO's) returns to MGM National Harbor Casino where he won an eight-round unanimous decision over Donald Ward on July 19th. Lara (18-11-4, 10 KO's) broke a four-bout losing streak by scoring a six-round technical knockout over Berman Tinoco on May 4th in Heredia, Costa Rica.
Also on the card will be "The Next Big Thing" Keeshawn Williams, a welterweight from District Heights, MD. Williams (6-0-1, two KO's) has no opponent yet for this card but comes off a first-round TKO win over Mario Alberto Perez Navarro on August 3rd in Brooklyn.
The main event will be a battle of former WBA Super Featherweight champions as Javier "El Abejon" Fortuna of Braintree, MA by way of the Dominican Republic will challenge Jesus "El Jinete" Cuellar of Buenos Aires, Argentina in a 10-round bout.
