Alexandria, VA amateur boxers Troy Isley and Keyshawn Davis won their first contests at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru on Monday. Both men have clinched bronze medals in the tournament.
Isley took a 3-2 decision over Jorge Vivas of Colombia in the middleweight division. Davis won his bout at light-welterweight by walkover against Luis Arcon of Venezuela.
Both men will try to improve their status today as they will compete in the semifinals. Isley will battle Herbert Carvalho Da Conceic of Brazil while Davis takes on Michael Alexander of Trinidad and Tobago.
