Isley Grabs Gold, Davis Secures Silver On Final Day Of Pan American Games Qualifier!

On the final day of competition at the Pan American Games Qualifier in Managua, Nicaragua, Alexandria, VA boxers Troy Isley and Keyshawn Davis put on solid performances and earned medals.

Isley put on a magnificent show in the championship, winning a gold medal in the middleweight division.  Isley defeated Arlen Lopez of Cuba by a 3-2 decision.  Lopez previously won a gold at the 2015 PanAm Games and a gold at the 2016 Olympics.

Davis lost a tough 3-2 decision to 2017 World Champion Andy Cruz of Cuba in the light welterweight division championship to gain a silver medal.

Team USA won nine medals (four gold, two silver and three bronze) during the qualifier.  The 2019 Pan American Games will be July 26th through August 11th in Lima, Peru.
