A couple of overseas amateur updates involving Beltway amateur boxers. Oxon Hill, MD flyweight Jahmal Harvey has advanced to today's final of the Emil Jechev International Youth and Junior Boxing Tournament in Botevgard, Bulgaria.
Harvey defeated Marian Radu of Romania by a 5-0 decision to move into the championship bout where he will face Bulgaria's Yasen Radev. Harvey has won all three of his previous contests by unanimous decision.
Meanwhile in Managua, Nicaragua, two locals are competing in a qualifier for the Pan American Games. Alexandria, VA light welterweight Keyshawn Davis won his first bout by 5-0 decision over Miguel German of Peru. Alexandria middleweight Troy Isley will also compete in this event.
The 2019 Pan American Games will take place from July 26th through August 11th in Lima, Peru.
