January Schedule Is Strong With Beltway Talent!

As we head into the second half of January, there are a number of Beltway Boxers who will be in action.  Here is the schedule for the rest of the month.

Thursday, January 17th -- MGM Grand, Las Vegas, NV -- Baltimore, MD cruiserweight Travis "Seveer" Reeves will be in a bout against Lanell Bellows of Las Vegas by way of Kansas City, MO.  Reeves (16-3-2, seven KO's) comes off an eight-round unanimous decision win over Devin Butcher on September 22nd in Bowie, MD.  Bellows (18-3-2, 11 KO's) also fought his last bout on September 22nd and lost a 10-round unanimous decision to Christopher Brooker at Sam's Town in Las Vegas.

Friday, January 18th -- Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York City -- Washington, DC welterweight Cornell "Hitman" Hines will be in his first six-round contest against an opponent to be determined.  Hines (3-0, two KO's) went the distance for the first time in his last outing, winning a four-round unanimous decision over Samuel Forjoe on September 30th in DC.

Friday, January 25th -- Michael's Eighth Avenue, Glen Burnie, MD -- The first amateur show of the year for Baltimore Boxing promotions called "The Super Brawl of Boxing."  Local heavyweight Brian Haneschlager is scheduled to return on that card.  We'll have a bigger preview on this card in the coming days.

Saturday, January 26th -- Waldorf Culture Center, Waldorf, MD -- The first Beltway pro show of 2019 will be a Cynation Sports Promotions card and will take place at a new location with a number of prospects including two former Beltway Rookies Of The Year -- Mack Allison IV and Jahmal Dyer -- in separate bouts.  Also slated are "The Sexy Albanian" Genc Pllana, Jonathan Burrs, George Harris, Nigel Fennell, Filip Stankovic, Lamont White and the debuting Destiny Day-Owens.  More on this card in the coming days.
