Outlaw Win Unanimous Decision In Bowie!

Bowie, MD super lightweight Greg "Sharpshooter" Outlaw won a six-round unanimous decision over Rashad Bogar of Newark, NJ in front of his home crowd during the main event of the Shabazz Brothers/Real Deal Boxing Promotions card at the A.C. Jordan Arena at Bowie State University.  A crowd of approximately 2,000 was in attendance.

Outlaw overcame an injured left hand to outduel Bogar in the contest.  Despite his injury, the 2016 Bowie State University graduate was able to show enough aggression to win the bout by scores of 58-56, 60-54 and 59-55.  Outlaw, a Real Deal Promotions signee, remains undefeated at 6-0, two KO's while Bogar falls to 4-9-1, two KO's.

The co-feature was an awkward All-Baltimore, MD light heavyweight affair between Travis "Seveer" Reeves and Devin "Bite" Butcher.  Reeves would win a slow-paced, eight-round contest by unanimous decision but neither man seemed to be interested in engaging the other.  Reeves was hesitant in pressuring Butcher while Butcher was content to pose and only occasionally throw jabs.  Reeves scored a flash knockdown in the fourth round with a short left hand.  In the fifth, referee Brent Bovell took a point away from Butcher for excessive holding.  The bout meandered onto its conclusion with Reeves winning by scores of 77-73, 80-69 and 78-72. Reeves is now 16-3-2, seven KO's while Butcher falls to 6-3, three KO's.

Waldorf, MD featherweight Jordan "Shortdog" White scored a fourth-round TKO over Francisco "Monkey" Rodriguez of Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico.  White dominated Rodriguez throughout the contest scoring two knockdowns with right hands in the second round before pressuring him in the fourth round.  White would knock down Rodriguez once more in the fourth round before referee Kenny Chevalier would stop the contest at 1:34.  White bounces back from suffering his first pro loss in May of 2017 and is now 5-1, four KO's.  Rodriguez's record drops to 4-5-1.

Forestville, MD middleweight Alantez "SlyAza" Fox returned to action and won a dominant eight-round unanimous decision over former world title contender Elvin Ayala of Guilford, CT.  In his first contest after undergoing left shoulder and elbow surgery after his loss to Demetrius Andrade in October, Fox showed no ill effects as he was able to use his 6'5" height and reach advantage to good use, landing quality jabs and body shots. Ayala, who contended for a world title in 2008, landed occasional shots but was unable to put on consistent pressure.  All three judges (Steve Rados, Don Risher and Paul Wallace) saw a shutout for Fox, 80-72.  Fox rases his record to 24-1-1, 11 KO's while Ayala drops to 29-11-1, 13 KO's.

In women's action, Bladensburg, MD lightweight "The Dark Menace" Tiara Brown scored an impressive fourth-round TKO over Jasmine "Red" Clarkson of Cedar Hill, TX.  Brown broke Clarkson down throughout the bout, increasing the offensive pressure during every round.  There were no knockdowns during the contest but at the end of the fourth round, ringside doctors saw enough to not allow Clarkson to come out for the fifth round.  Brown, who fought for the first time under the DiBella Entertainment Promotions banner, remains undefeated at 5-0, three KO's.  Clarkson falls to 4-13.

Baltimore cruiserweight Muhsin "Spartan" Cason scored a second-round TKO over the debuting Donnell Daniels of Suitland, MD.  Cason pressured Daniels throughout the contest, eventually dropping Daniels to one knee with a right hand in the second round.  Moments later, a brutal Cason left hand would send Daniels back to the canvas forcing ringside doctors to tell referee Chevalier to wave off the bout at 2:44.  Cason, the younger brother of former undisputed world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, Sr., gets his first pro knockout and is now 3-0, one KO.

In a battle of debuting super welterweights, Mark "Sayless" Duncan of Clarksburg, MD registered a second-round TKO over Johnnell Christmas of Conway, AR.  Duncan was very impressive with his offensive onslaught in the bout, knocking down Christmas with a left hand to the body in the first round.  Christmas not only had to deal with Duncan's offensive onslaught, he also seemed to have difficulty with his boots as he was slipping continually in the contest.  Duncan would finish Christmas with a right hand to the body that forced referee Chevalier to stop the contest at 2:31 of the second round. 

Another debuting super welterweight, Maurice "M3G" Winslow of Stone Mountain, GA, scored an impressive second-round TKO over Alberto"Rooster" Delgado of Roanoke, VA.  Winslow was on the offensive from the opening bell, hitting Delgado with left and right hooks to Delgado's face.  In the second round, Winslow increased his onslaught and dominated Delgado with crushing shots.  Delgado could not come out for the third round.   The victory was a fitting celebration of Winslow's 18th birthday.  Delgado remains winless at 0-5-3.

Landover, MD lightweight Tyrek "I.G.B. (I Get Busy)" Irby won a four-round unanimous decision over Lamont White of Washington, DC.  Much like Irby did when the two men met in February of 2017, Irby was able to control the offensive flow of the bout.  White, who has never been knocked down, provided very little offense in the bout but was still able to get the best out of Irby, who won by shutout, 40-36.  Irby remains undefeated at 5-0, two KO's.  White drops to 1-15, one KO.

The opening bout ended with a crushing first-round knockout as "The Egyptian Magician" Omar Kabary Saleem of Brooklyn, NY brutally stopped the debuting Malik Jenkins of Philadelphia, PA.  The two men were in a clinch and Jenkins was trying to complain to referee Chevalier about headbutts from Saleem.  However, Chevalier had not stopped the action to hear the complaint and Saleem landed a number of crushing shots that sent Jenkins crashing face first to the canvas.  Chevalier immediately stopped the bout at 1:56 of the first.  After observations by the doctors and EMT's, Jenkins was able to leave the ring under his own power.  Saleem is now 5-0, two KO's.

The matchmaker for the card was "The Boxing Diva" Renee Aiken.  The ring announcer was Henry "Discombobulating" Jones.
