Beltway Amateurs Head To Junior Olympic Nationals June 24-30!

The Beltway will send 17 junior amateurs to the Junior Olympics, Prep Nationals and Youth Open which will be held on June 24-30 at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WVA.  All of the boxers advanced to the nationals by virtue of victories earned at the regionals held June 1-3 in Portsmouth, VA.

Eleven of the locals represent the Potomac Valley Association Of USA Boxing (PVA).

Cardarius Johnson (Headbangers) -- Bantam 75 Pounds

Marcus Luther (Headbangers) -- Bantam 80 Pounds

Marcell Steele (Untouchables) -- Bantam 101 Pounds

Joshua Briggs (Oxon Hill) -- Bantam 106 Pounds

Travis Best (Oxon Hill) -- Bantam 110 Pounds

Richard Dodson (Untouchables) -- Intermediate 85 Pounds

Jeremiah Jamison (Oxon Hill) -- Intermediate 90 Pounds

Khalique Harrison (Warriors) -- Intermediate 114 Pounds

Jordan Roach (No Xcuse) -- Junior 95 Pounds

Keith Burroughs (Oxon Hill) -- Junior 101 Pounds

Jahmal Harvey (Oxon Hill) -- Junior 114 Pounds

Six more are representatives of the South Atlantic Association Of USA Boxing (SAA).

Donte Dailey, Jr. (Charm City) -- Bantam 114 Pounds

Damari Philson (Upton) -- Intermediate 101 Pounds

Eric Acosta (Main Street) -- Intermediate 132 Pounds

Cuttino Oliver (Upton) -- Junior 106 Pounds

Muhammad Robinson -- (G-Up Nation/Charm City) -- Junior 110 Pounds

Stacey Selby (Upton) -- Junior 138 Pounds
