Baltimore, MD middleweight Lorenzo Simpson won his first bout in the 2018 Youth Continental Championships at the Hotel Elegante in Colorado Springs, CO.
Simpson won his quarterfinal contest by unanimous decision over Renso Folleco of Ecuador. Throughout the contest, Simpson was able to land his right jab on a regular basis and followed that up with good left hooks to the head.
Simpson will compete in the semifinals against Mohammed Zawadi of Canada who received a quarterfinal bye.
