Two Beltway Amateurs won championships at the 2017 Eastern Elite Qualifiers at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, TN.
Khaliq Harrison of Fort Washington, MD won the Bantam 106 Pound championship with a 3-2 decision over Malachi Davis of Albany, NY. Also, Sa'mari Everette of Baltimore, MD captured the Pee Wee 60 Pound title with a 5-0 decision over Javon Robinson of Oxford, PA.
The Elite competition got underway on Wednesday. In the 123 Pound division, Jaqeem Hutcherson of Temple Hills, MD won his bout by walkover. In the Youth 123 Pound class, Jay Stancil III of Clinton, MD advanced with a 4-1 decision over Miguel Gomez of Antioch, TN. Also, Zabreon Brown of Oxon Hill, MD won a split decision over Joey Issac of Cincinnati, OH in the Bantam 70 Pound division.
