Undefeated Baltimore, MD super bantamweight Glenn Dezurn, Jr. returns to Showtime's ShoBox in an eight-round contest against Adam "Mantequilla" Lopez of San Antonio, TX on Friday, July 14th at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, OK.
Dezurn (9-0, six KO's) makes his second straight appearance on ShoBox, winning an eight-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Leroy Davila in his last outing on April 14th at the MGM National Harbor Casino in Oxon Hill, MD.
Lopez (16-1-1, eight KO's) looks to rebound from suffering his first pro loss on January 20th to Daniel Roman in Atlantic City, NJ. Lopez battles a Beltway Boxer for the second time in his pro career. Lopez scored a second-round TKO over former IBF Featherweight champion Erik Aiken in December of 2015 in San Antonio. The bout will be part of a quadruple-header that will get underway at 10 PM ET.
On the non-televised undercard, Burke, VA middleweight Antoine "Action" Douglas will challenge Bruno "Tiburon" Sandoval of Mexico City, Mexico for Douglas's WBC Fecarbox Middleweight title and the vacant NABA Middleweight championship in a 10-round contest. Douglas (21-1-1, 15 KO's) has won two straight since suffering his first pro loss in March of 2016 to Avtandil Khurtsidze. Douglas won the WBC Fecarbox title in his last outing, scoring a second-round knockout over Eduardo Mercedes on March 27th in the Dominican Republic.
Sandoval (19-2-1, 15 KO's) is a former WBC USNBC Middleweight champion who competes in the United States for the very first time. Sandoval will look to bounce back from suffering a third-round knockout loss to world title contender Ryota Murata on December 30th in Tokyo, Japan.
