A. Fox Captures WBC USNBC Title With Unanimous Decision In Birmingham!

Forestville, MD middleweight Alantez "Slyaza" Fox completed a big night for the Beltway by winning a 10-round unanimous decision over Kenneth McNeil of Birmingham, AL to win the WBC USNBC Middleweight title Saturday night at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham.

Fox had to weather an early McNeil storm as he was rocked by a McNeil overhand right in the middle of the first round.  However, late in the round, Fox dropped McNeil with a straight right hand of his own.

Fox would stick to his game plan throughout the contest.  However, McNeil would land another solid right in the fifth round.  Fox seemed to take that shot a lot better, however.  Fox started to bend McNeil over with continuous shots in the second half of the fight while McNeil would land one blow here and there. Fox was the busier fighter and would win the bout by scores of 95-94 (twice) and 97-92.

Fox remains undefeated at 22-0-1, 10 KO's while McNeil falls to 10-3, seven KO's.

Fox is growing up! Gary. Is the Gary Russell Jr fight off?

Not that I'm aware of. They are having a media day at Enigma Gym tomorrow. I did see that Russell didn't get his medicals in at the 30-day time period but I don't think he did when he won the title either.
