Pro Boxing Comes To Crystal City August 6!

There will be a 10-bout pro boxing card coming to the Crystal City Hilton Hotel in Arlington, VA on Saturday, August 6. This will be a co-promotion of King's Promotions and Keystone Boxing.

The Crystal City Hilton is located on 2399 Jefferson Davis Highway in Arlington.

The main event on the card will be an eight-round super lightweight contest between undefeated Myke "The Professor" Fox of Forestville, MD and Somner "Magic Man" Martin of Martinsville, VA.  Fox (10-0, two KO's) hits the eight-round plateau for the first time in his pro career coming off a sixth-round unanimous decision over Jose Valderrama on June 28th in Bethlehem, PA.  Martin (5-2, three KO's) has not fought since dropping a six-round unanimous decision to Kareem Martin on April 1 in DC.  Martin will also be competing in his first eight-round bout.

A potentially explosive contest of young, undefeated Beltway heavyweights will serve as the co-feature as Luther "Lights Out" Smith of Crofton, MD will take on Mike "Silverback" Balogun of Upper Marlboro, MD in the first scheduled six-rounder for both men.  Smith (6-0, five KO's) went the distance in a bout for the first time in his last outing, winning a four-round split decision over Solomon Maye on April 29 in Atlantic City, NJ. Balogun (6-0, five KO's) is coming off a first-round TKO over Devon Mosley on May 13 in DC.

Other Beltway Boxers scheduled to appear on the card are Frederick, MD middleweight Devar “Jengawar” Ferhadi (6-0, five KOs), Frederick cruiserweight Darnell “The Unknown” Pierce (4-0 , one KO), Greenbelt, MD cruiserweight “The Vanilla Gorilla” Sam Crossed (3-0, one KO), DC featherweight Marcus “The Dreamcrusher” Bates (3-0-1, three KOs), and the professional debut of “Slick” Justin Hurd of Accokeek, MD, the younger brother of undefeated super welterweight contender Jarrett Hurd.  

Other boxers slated to appear are St. Louis, MO junior welterweight Kent Cruz (10-0, six KOs) and Atlantic City light heavyweight Antowyan Aikens (10-2-1, one KO).
