Hurd-Molina Battle Elevates To National Television June 25 From Brooklyn!

BATB has learned that the 10-round contest between undefeated Accokeek, MD super welterweight "Swift" Jarrett Hurd and fellow undefeated boxer Oscar Molina of Norwalk, CA has been elevated to the co-feature contest and will be televised live on Saturday, June 25 from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.  CBS will televise the bout prior to the main event between WBA Welterweight champion Keith Thurman and challenger Shawn Porter.

The Hurd-Molina bout moved up on the card when the bout between WBA Featherweight champion Jesus Cuellar and former world champ Abner Mares was cancelled because Mares could not pass two New York State Athletic Commission-administered eye exams.

Hurd, the 2015 Beltway Boxing Prospect Of The Year,  (17-0, 11 KO's) is coming off his biggest win to date -- a sixth-round TKO win over previously undefeated Frank Galarza on November 14 in Las Vegas, NV.  The victory placed Hurd into the world rankings as he is ranked ninth by the IBF and 10th by the WBA.

Molina (13-0-1, 10 KO's) is ranked 10th by the WBC despite fighting to a 10-round majority draw with Domonique Dolton on September 29 in Las Vegas.

The CBS telecast will begin at 9 PM ET.
