United States Olympic Team member Antuanne Russell (right) notched his first victory in World Series of Boxing competition on Friday when he scored a fourth-round TKO over Abedlhaq Nadir of Morocco in Casablanca.

The win helped Russell's USA Knockouts team score a 3-2 victory over the Morocco Atlas Lions.  Russell, of Capitol Heights, MD, was in complete control in the contest, showing great hand speed and power.  Russell got a standing eight count on Nadir in the third round and followed with a crushing left hand that dropped Nadir to the canvas.  Nadir's corner did not let their boxer come out for the fourth round.

Russell is now 1-1 ,one KO in WSB competition and will now head back to the US Olympic Training Center to prepare for the International Olympic Qualifying event that will take place March 11-19 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  A Beltway-based coach, Kay Koroma, will be one of Team USA's coaches for this event.  Koroma was also in Casablanca for the WSB competition.
