On Saturday, October 10, three Beltway Boxers were victorious on a card at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC.
In the main event, Baltimore, MD's Jessie "The Beast" Nicklow won an eight-round unanimous decision over Raymond "Sugar" Terry of Lynchburg, VA. Nicklow won by scores of 79-73 (twice) and 80-72. The win breaks a four-bout losing streak for Nicklow, who is now 25-7-3, eight KO's. Terry is now 4-2, two KO's.
Also on the card, lightweight Eric "El Torito" Hernandez of Leesburg, VA scored a second-round TKO over Alfredo Ellis, Jr. of Wilson, NC. The bout was stopped at 2:03 of the round. Hernandez remains undefeated at 4-0, three KO's while Ellis is 0-3.
Randallstown, MD middleweight Jeff "Gladiator" McCalla also remained undefeated with a first-round TKO over Theophulis Newkirk of Wilson, NC. The bout was stopped at 1:17. McCalla is 3-0 with all three bouts stopped in the first round. Newkirk is 0-2.
